Tanana is preparing to open luggage storage in Copenhagen. Nothing in the city can be booked yet, so this page is here to explain what the service will look like and where it will be most useful once we launch. If you need to leave bags somewhere today, our bookable locations in Malmö are roughly 35 minutes away by train across the Öresund bridge.
Bookings are not available in Copenhagen yet. There is no Tanana storage location in the city at this time.
These are the areas Copenhagen visitors most often ask about when they search for somewhere to leave luggage. They are the parts of the city we are looking at first — none of them has a Tanana location yet.
Almost every arrival passes through Copenhagen Central Station, whether coming from the airport, Sweden or Jutland. Travellers with an evening train and a morning check-out are the clearest case for storage in this area, together with the Tivoli and Vesterbro hotel streets a few minutes' walk away.
The old harbour and the medieval centre are walked, not driven. Canal boats, Strøget and the palace area are all awkward with a suitcase, and this is where a same-day drop-off would save the most walking.
Nørreport is the busiest interchange for the metro, S-train and regional lines, and the natural place to start a cycling day around Nørrebro and the lakes. Bikes and suitcases do not mix, which is why storage near a transport hub matters here.
Cruise passengers at Nordhavn and travellers with a late flight from Kastrup usually have several free hours after leaving their cabin or hotel room. Storage near a metro stop on that corridor turns those hours into sightseeing.
Copenhagen rewards walking and cycling more than almost any other Nordic capital, and both are miserable with luggage. The distance from Central Station to Nyhavn is a pleasant twenty-five minutes on foot and a struggle with a wheeled suitcase over cobbles.
The city is also a transit point. Many travellers spend a single day here between a flight from Kastrup and a train onwards to Sweden or Jutland, with no hotel room to leave anything in. Storage is the difference between seeing the city and sitting with your bags.
Finally, Copenhagen hotels commonly check guests out in the morning while flights and trains leave in the evening. That gap — not a full day, but not a short errand either — is what a per-day storage booking is meant to cover.

Once a Copenhagen location is confirmed, it will appear on this page with its real address and real opening hours, and you will be able to choose a drop-off and pickup time inside those hours.
You will show your booking reference at the venue, staff will label your bags and store them in a staff-only area.
Bags will be returned to the person named on the booking, inside the venue's opening hours, on the pickup day you selected.
No. Copenhagen is a planned city and has no Tanana storage location yet, so no booking can be made here.
